Lyubomir Pechev is born in Stara Zagora, Bulgaria 1985, currently living in Sofia, where he was also educated to become the director he is today. Starting at Sofia University with major in Economy and continuing with a Major in Film Directing at National Academy of Theatre and Film Arts, NATFA, Sofia.

Lyubomir’s student work has been recognised at the Cannes Film Festival with a selection at the Semaine de la Critique for his short “Family”.

Lyubomir established himself as a local director with high potential working on commercials, Tv series, documenatries and short films. He took part of a driector omnibus which made the feature film “The violin.”

He has recently finished shooting “Brothers” a criminal tv-series of 6 seasons with 60 episodes for Nova Tv and 2 seasons of prison drama “ The cage”, again for Nova tv. The tv-series made high raitings at local market and is set for sale abroad.

Between 2011-2014 Lyubomir worked as a director for Tv Shows on local market like the reality “Pay it forward” and “Buntart”.

Since 2015 till now, he is director at B2Y productions working on numerous commercials, music videos and short projects. He works closely with Nu Boyana film studios as a mentor on different workshops and managing director of events.

Lyubomir has written five full feature scripts. Two of them are in pre-production
